Great Gifts for One Year Old Girls
I don’t know what it is, but one year old little girls LOVE their baby dolls. My little one takes her water baby with her everywhere. Which especially makes water babies nice, because you can take them in the bath or the pool. You can even fill them up with water.
Toddlers also like to take good care of their babies, so you may start finding yourself splurging on a doll stroller, a doll carrier, and maybe even a doll car seat. This is a great learning experience, especially if you have another baby on the way.
Your one year old will love emptying and filling this picnic basket while matching and sorting shapes. They will also learn about food, practice using forks and cups, and dance to the sweet music.
Reusable stickers create hours of independent fun. Compact sticker pads (like the one pictured) are perfect for keeping your one year old occupied at church, in the car, on the plane, or anywhere you need her to sit quietly.
I’ve also found some larger sticker books that are great for home. They come with hundreds of durable stickers and 5 different scenes, so your toddler can use their imagination again and again.
Give your one year old their very own spot to sit, read, play, or nap. They’ll love having a chair to call theirs, and you’ll love not having to worry about them falling off the couch.
Puzzles are one of the best learning toys for children, as they help develop hand-eye coordination, enhance problem solving skills, and create an understanding for a variety of themes, such as animals, the alphabet . Peg puzzles with 5-9 pieces seem to be just the right fit for one year olds, as they are difficult enough to keep them engaged, but yet not too difficult to create frustration.
Kids learn through play, and with a kitchen play set, your little will learn all about food, cooking, colors, and numbers. Pretend play also encourages speech development and fine motor skills. We especially love this particular kitchen, because it comes with a highchair for my little girl to feed her dolly.
This indoor tent makes a perfect castle for your little princess to play, read, or relax. She will have a special space to call her own and have loads of adventures in. Grab a bag of balls to turn it into an awesome ball pit for even more fun.
You can never go wrong with books. Lift-the-flap and first word books are especially great for the easily distracted one year old.
DUPLO LEGOS are a great way to introduce young girls to the world of building. This particular set comes with LEGO bricks, characters, (bunny, chicken, flowers, and a girl), and a sturdy container to store it all in. Some of the bricks are even numbered, so you can help develop number recognition and counting.
What’s more fun than being pushed around and pretending to drive? As your little girl gets older, you can remove the floorboard and she can drive herself around like a little “Flintstone.”
You can never go wrong with buying little ones clothes as they grow so fast. You’ll really be helping the parents out with keeping up with their growing child. Here are some of my top picks for this year’s girl clothes:
Cat & Jack Sleeveless Activewear Vest
Cat & Jack Top & Bottom Set
Cat & Jack Eyelet Solid T-Shirt
Cat & Jack Almond Cream Hooded Ear Sweatshirt
